Ghosts and Hauntings in Birmingham

Ghosts at Aston Hall Wedding?

Janet of Birmingham writes about a strange happening at Aston Hall.
stairs.jpg (68463 bytes)My daughter and her partner were recently married in Cyprus when we came home we had some family photographs taken at Aston Hall, Birmingham on 3rd July 2004. We were all allowed to take photographs in the Great Hall; Great Dining Room; Long Gallery and on the Great Stairs. One of my friends caught up with me in the Long Gallery and told me she had "felt someone or something tug at my arm" as if to pull her backwards on the Great Stairs. When she turned round to see who it was there was no one there as she was the last person up the stairs following the main wedding party.
Later in the afternoon I was downloading my photos from my digital camera and found one which had strange small 'round lights' on it - it was the last photo taken on the Great Stairs immediately before we all ascended them.
I closely looked at all the other photographs and found another two contained the same small lights but in different rooms.dining rm1.JPG (108916 bytes)
Later that night we held a large family party to celebrate my daughters wedding. We invited the professional photographer (who had taken photos at the hall that afternoon) and his wife to the party. I told him what I had found on my photographs and he said he can not wait to develop his to see if any are on them. He then told me that he had arrived very early at Aston Hall to have a good look around, check lighting levels, camera angles etc. As he walked along the Long Gallery and through into the next room he heard "flute music being played". He tried to find out where it was coming from but could not place it. He went down the smaller stairs down to the main hall and asked stairsgroup.jpg (53823 bytes) the guards if there was any music being played on an audio information unit or radio or some such like. The guard replied "No - no music was being played anywhere in the building". The Photographer was adamant that he HAD heard 'flute music' on the upper levels. I then told him what had been reported to me earlier by my friend on the Great Staircase. He was very surprised. When he checked his prints which were shot on 35 mil file, there was nothing out of the ordinary on them - to his disappointment.
How can three different people experience three different things at the same Hall on the same afternoon?
Are they all coincidences or something else? Who knows.
